About this program

Bachelor in hotel management

To begin with, you immediately choose one of our specializations: Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management. Both specializations provide a solid foundation in management, communication and teamwork. In addition, you get very specific courses that offer a wide range of job opportunities as a manager in the restaurant industry or as a chef in top restaurants. But as a hotel management graduate, you will also be in demand in many other sectors.

Hospitality Management: The Hospitality Management specialization offers a high level of knowledge and skills, three or four foreign languages, a solid business foundation, good ICT skills, teamwork skills, presentation skills and international experience. These skills are also highly valued in many other industries and give you the opportunity to continue your studies and obtain a master's degree or an additional bachelor's degree. Hospitality Management students are dynamic and interested in frequent social contacts, challenges and creative teamwork. No prior qualification from a culinary school is required. Science is more than self-study. If you want, you can join SorHoMa, the student hotel management club. The student club organizes all kinds of activities for students on the program and a colloquium with keynote speakers from the hospitality industry. The program places great emphasis on practical experience. This is evidenced by numerous projects, industry contacts and internships. For example, you and many other students in the "Café CuiZien" project will develop your own catering business through teamwork and a combination of language and presentation skills as well as creative, financial and hospitality skills. Direct contact with the local population is an essential part of the course. In your first year, you complete a one-week exploratory internship. In your second year, you will do a 6-week internship. The third year includes an 18-week management internship. The course also places special emphasis on the development of your international network. International contacts are indispensable for future hotel managers. In addition to the study tour and international internship, you can also choose from many international projects as part of an international case. The facts speak for themselves: all our students do internships in recognized hotel chains, and 80% of internships take place in France, Germany, Norway, the Canary Islands, the Netherlands, Austria and so on. You will receive an Erasmus scholarship for an international internship. "

Culinary art: You feel like a professional in the fascinating world of the restaurant industry. Our program offers a solid base of courses in management, ICT, communication and teamwork. In addition, you will receive concrete practical and theoretical courses that lead to a bright future as a chef in a recognized restaurant.
If you are passionate about restaurants and cooking, the specialization Bachelor in Hospitality Management Culinary Arts is for you.
